Deadlines to watch

What this means for you

  • Pick one or two events, not all of them. Choose by where you want to work next: Abidjan for West Africa, Nairobi for East African tech, Luxembourg or London for Europe–Africa roles.
  • Prepare before you go: update your CV and LinkedIn profile, list ten companies you want to meet, and prepare a 30-second introduction in each language you work in.
  • Book early. Early-bird prices and travel costs rise as dates approach; Beyond Africa's early-bird price ends on 15 October.
  • Can't travel? Follow the speakers and organisers on LinkedIn and reach out afterwards. A short, specific message after an event often works as well as meeting in person.
  • Check details with the organiser before booking travel: programmes and venues can change.
  • Meanwhile, browse open roles by country, for example jobs in Côte d'Ivoire or jobs in Kenya.
